This short activity is for learning larger numbers in Spanish. I had the students write down 5 math problems, mixing up addition and subtraction.

Ex. 310-17=293 (trescientos diez menos diecisiete son doscientos noventa y tres).

They were only required to write them down in number form, but they could write them down in word form for reference. The students then had to quiz each other using their math problems, going to a different student for each problem. The students responded very well during this activity because they were able to create the problems themselves. As I walked around the room, I was pleased to hear participation and understanding of the large numbers.
